New York Updates Workers' Comp Drug Formulary

The New York State Workers' Compensation Board announced updates to its drug formulary, effective April 1, 2020. The changes include the addition of three anti-asthmatic drugs, one anti-vertigo drug and one antiretroviral medication. Additionally, several antiretroviral drugs had special considerations 2 and 4 added and these same drugs were added to the Phase B list.

These changes were adopted under an emergency rulemaking and published in the State Register on March 18, 2020. Comments will be accepted by the board for 60 days following this publication. Mitchell ScriptAdvisor is prepared to initiate these changes on the April 1, 2020 effective date.
