The Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) was designed to help small businesses keep their employees during the crisis caused by COVID-19. Those loans may have protected 133,000 jobs in the auto body industry alone, according to the SBA.
Repair facilities have until August 8 to apply for forgivable loans through the PPP. As of Monday, more than $130 billion still remained for companies to access.
